Madhya Pradesh is in the heart of Central India. It remains much less modernised than the rest of India and is home to 5 extraordinary national parks. These were the inspiration of Kipling’s Jungle Book and they protect a wide variety of India’s wildlife including leopard, sloth bear, jungle cat, langur monkeys, four species of deer, wild boar, wild dog, jackal, hyenas as well as crocodiles, reptiles and a plethora of birds. A journey into the parks of Bandhavgarh, Kanha and Pench is to witness the world of forests and jungles, tribal villages, wonderful art and of course, the chance to see one of the world’s best loved predators, the Royal Bengal Tiger.
